Commissioning

  NGI provides commissioning support services focused on verifying installation quality, system functionality, and overall readiness for operation. Our team works to ensure that all mechanical, electrical, and control systems are installed correctly, fully integrated, and operating as intended prior to turnover.


Each scope is executed using a structured field process that emphasizes verification at every stage. Mechanical systems are checked for proper installation, alignment, and securement, while electrical systems are validated for correct terminations, grounding, and protection functionality. Control and communication systems are tested to confirm accurate response, signal integrity, and full system interaction.


NGI identifies and documents any deficiencies during commissioning and works in coordination with site teams to ensure all issues are addressed prior to handover. Testing is performed under controlled conditions to verify system performance during startup, normal operation, and shutdown scenarios.


Execution is driven by disciplined field verification, clear documentation, and alignment with OEM specifications and site requirements. The result is a fully verified turbine, ready for operation, with reduced risk of early-stage issues and a smooth transition into service.

Mechanical Completion Verification

 Verification that all mechanical and structural components are installed according to specifications. This includes inspection of the tower, nacelle, rotor, blades, pitch system, yaw system, and foundation interfaces. All bolted connections are checked for proper torque and tension, mechanical components are verified for correct installation and fit-up, and critical systems are inspected for alignment, secure mounting, and readiness for operation.

Electrical Testing

Inspection and testing of electrical systems to confirm proper installation and safe operation. This includes verification of cable terminations, grounding and bonding systems, transformer connections, and internal wiring. Protective systems such as relays, breakers, and fault protection circuits are tested to ensure correct response under normal and fault conditions, along with verification of grid interface readiness.

Functional & Operational Testing

 Execution of controlled operational tests to verify system performance. The turbine is run through startup, normal operation, and shutdown sequences, including emergency stop functions. Key systems such as pitch control, yaw operation, braking systems, and safety circuits are tested to confirm proper response, communication, and system interaction under operating conditions.

SCADA System Configuration & Verification

 Setup and validation of the turbine’s control and monitoring systems. This includes configuration of SCADA parameters, communication with site networks, and verification of remote monitoring functionality. Data signals, alarms, status reporting, and control commands are tested to ensure accurate system feedback and reliable remote operation.

Performance Verification

 Execution of controlled run testing to confirm turbine performance under operating conditions. This includes verification of power output, system efficiency, and operational stability.

Any deviations, alarms, or performance issues are identified, documented, and addressed to ensure the turbine meets expected performance standards.

Final Documentation & Handover

Compilation of all commissioning records, including inspection reports, test results, punch list items, and corrective actions. Final documentation is reviewed for completeness and accuracy, ensuring all scope requirements are met prior to handover. The turbine is then formally transitioned to the owner or operator for commercial operation.
