Inspections

 NGI provides inspection services to identify developing issues, verify component condition, and support ongoing turbine reliability. Our team evaluates key systems and mechanical components in the field to detect potential problems early and address them before they lead to larger failures or extended downtime.


Inspections are performed using a structured approach that combines hands-on evaluation with system data and operational feedback. Components are assessed for wear, damage, contamination, and proper function, with attention given to areas that directly impact performance, safety, and long-term operation.


Each inspection is carried out with a focus on accurate assessment, clear documentation, and practical findings. NGI ensures that results are communicated in a way that supports decision-making, allowing site teams to prioritize maintenance, plan corrective actions, and reduce operational risk.


Execution is aligned with OEM specifications and site requirements, with an emphasis on consistency and traceability. The goal is to provide reliable, field-driven insight that improves system performance, extends component life, and supports safe, uninterrupted turbine operation. 

Main Bearing Inspections

 Inspection of main bearing condition, including axial and radial play, grease condition, seal integrity, raceway condition, and signs of spalling, pitting, or overheating. Verifies proper lubrication and identifies early-stage bearing failure. 

Gearbox Inspections

 Inspection of gearbox condition, including oil level and contamination, filter condition, magnetic plug debris, gear tooth wear, bearing condition, and signs of overheating or internal damage. Includes visual and borescope inspection where applicable. 

Hydraulic System Inspections

 Inspection of hydraulic system components including hose condition, fitting integrity, leaks, accumulator pressure, manifold condition, and cylinder operation. Verifies fluid cleanliness, pressure stability, and proper system response. 

Generator Inspections

 Assessment of generator condition, including shaft alignment and runout, coil condition and insulation integrity, bearing wear and lubrication, slip ring surface condition, carbon brush wear and contact pressure, and cooling system operation. Identifies overheating, electrical faults, and mechanical wear.

Rotor & Blade Mechanical Inspections

 Inspection of blade root connections, bolt torque condition, pitch bearing interfaces, and hub interface points. Checks for loose or damaged hardware, signs of movement at connection points, cracking at root areas, and indicators of mechanical stress or imbalance. 

Yaw System Inspections

 Inspection of yaw motors, gearboxes, brake systems, yaw drives, and gear teeth. Checks for uneven wear, brake function, proper lubrication, and smooth rotational movement. 

Pitch System Inspections

 Inspection of pitch motors, pitch rams, gearboxes, hydraulic/electric pitch components, and control response. Verifies smooth blade movement, proper pressure or electrical output, and absence of leaks or abnormal wear. 

Structural & Mechanical Inspections

 Inspection of tower internals, bolted connections, welds, brackets, and mounting points. Identifies loose hardware, corrosion, cracking, or fatigue in structural components. 

Fluid Condition & Lubrication Inspections

 Inspection of oil and grease systems, including contamination levels, water intrusion, discoloration, and proper fill levels. Ensures lubrication systems are functioning and protecting components from wear.

 Inspection services provide clear, field-driven data to support maintenance decisions, reduce risk, and keep turbines operating reliably.
